Q. Summarise your role at The Mortgage Lender and how you help customers:
A. I support the intermediaries with new case enquiries, answer criteria/product questions and promote the products TML offers. I also provide support to our key account managers who are on the road.
Q. Describe yourself in three words?
A. Trustworthy, ambitious and loyal.
Q. What is the best thing about your role at The Mortgage Lender?
A. Being able to build internal processes for the business and then see them in action.
Q. Who’s the person that’s had the greatest influence on your career, and why?
A. Monica Docherty, she was my first line manager. She gave me the confidence to believe in myself and gave me the opportunity to prove myself. I’m still very good friends with her to this day.
Q. What do you think is The Mortgage Lender’s greatest strengths?
A. Our common-sense underwriting approach.
Q. What five items couldn’t you live without?
A. My phone, coffee, new shoes, salt and vinegar crisps and a glass of wine on a Friday.
Q. What’s is the most important attribute of a Team Leader?
A. Vision – an effective leader needs to be able to envision team success and be able to put that vision into action. The ability to act on an idea or make decisions that are inline with the company mission is what separates an effective leader from an ineffective one.
Q. If you won £10 million tomorrow, what would you do with it?
A. Pay off everyone’s mortgage in my family, go on a luxury holiday with all my family and friends.
Q. What’s your guilty pleasure?
A. Love Island.
Q. What’s your superhero power?
A. Invisibility – to go into department stores and try all the new shoes on.
